Shea butter which goes by several names (Ori in Yoruba, Okwume in Igbo and Man kadanya in Hausa), is one of natures wonders, extracted from the nuts of the Shea tree (Butyrospermum parkii), which grows in the Savannah of Western Africa and Central Africa.
Shea butter has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve the skin and hair, for medicinal purposes,to treat skin problems, and many more, because it has been proven to be naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production.
Moisturizing: One of the most laudable and welcoming property of Shea butter is its moisturizing properties which makes it very ideal for the skin and hair. The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skins natural oils.

A study found that its anti-inflammatory property is because it contains cinnamic acid and other natural properties. Rash Infection: You can use Shea to treat rashes. If your baby is having diaper rash, it is an ideal ointment that treats it without any side effects and can also be used on other rash infections.
